Joan Collins

Has Joan Collins Had Cosmetic Surgery?

Born May 23, 1933, she is a star who has lived full life, with a successful acting career spanning over 60 years on stage, television (she is best known for her role as Alexis Colby in Dynasty) and film, numerous awards and several books to her name.

She starred in two films based on the novels written by her sister, Jackie Collins.

And yet, in her very latter years, her face and figure have stayed stunningly beautiful, using only proper exercise, diet and skin care. In fact, she’s a spokesperson for a new anti-aging cream.

Joan Collins: Older Women Are Beautiful

Joan especially believes in the beauty of older women. In an article she wrote for the Daily Mail, Joan said, “Why should people be so surprised that women in their 50s, 60s and 70s look sexy and absolutely wonderful? I have many friends in their 60s, 70s and 80s, not in the limelight, but who all look absolutely stunning.

She added, “The fact that there are scores of women looking stunning and far younger than their biological age seems to be overlooked, or, if recognized, then met with wonderment.”

Still, not everyone is impressed. At her age many other actresses would have already had celebrity plastic surgery to fight the signs of aging. And to many people plastic surgery is not such a big deal.Joan Collins aging gracefully and elegantly (image hosted by hollywoodreporter.com)

Joan Collins Stands Firm Against Cosmetic Surgery

But she has made a firm stand against it, and has never admitted using it. In an article from thebosh.com, she even said that Botox is poison.

Granted, there may be other stars that are with her in her stance against plastic surgery, but her harshness on the subject that has drawn the ire of its readers. Or perhaps it was not the vehemence of her statements that they don’t like, but the perceived dishonesty in them.

Other actresses almost half her age were at least more forthright about their procedures—see Goldie Hawn.

Because it would take a lot of careful work to stay that fabulous, after all, quoting a news article from makemeheal.com, Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer said, “Joan Collins appears (emphasis added) to have stayed so ‘fresh- faced’ looking through multiple cosmetic procedures such as a facelift, browlift and eyelid surgeries.”

And Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, said, “Joan Collins appears to have had a facelift, browlift, Botox, facial fillers, and possibly a rhinoplasty at some point in her life. Her work appears overdone, and she would not benefit from having any additional procedures at this time.

Joan Collins doesn’t openly say whether she has had plastic surgery or not.

Comparing her photos from the peak of her career to her most recent ones, it’s hard to tell. And certainly there are no bad plastic surgery before and after pictures that have leaked to the internet as evidence that she has gone under the knife.

In short, her case is like the Jennifer Aniston’s cosmetic surgery rumor – very hard to confirm.

  1. LOL! I’m also told I’ve had botox, lip injections, chin implant and cheekbone implants at work. The HYSTERICALLY FUNNY thing is I’ve never done or would do any of that, all because I’m 47 years old and people swear I’m 30 and some even say I’m in my 20’s before I let them know my age. I think it has to do with the cheekbones, my grandmother had the same cheekbones as Joan Collins and looked incredible into her 80’s. Also I’m a vegan and if you look up what older vegans look like they seem much much younger than their age. Joan might not be a vegan but eats little meat and exercises. All the other stars that are around Joans age that have had plastic surgery look very obviously so. How could Joan have had plastic surgery and it not be obvious like the rest. Also if you look at her pictures as the years have gone by she looks very slightly older little by little. There’s no sudden looking younger all at once. Since everyone’s having surgery it’s hard for people to believe someone is not doing the same as everyone else and people have little faith and willpower for diet, exercise and staying positive…

This is a joke. I have seen pictures of Collins without makeup and she looks like the old lady she really is. I actually feel sorry for her to have to go through hours of makeup just to step outside. I wonder who she thinks she is kidding

I, too, now believe that Joan is lying. She may not have had “Plastic Surgery”, but I now believe that she has definitely had some sort of Cosmetic Procedures done on her face. She’s probably been able or clever enough to only have “a little bit done” at a time so that it’s not tell tale. And she’s probably been clever and smart enough to get and use a very discreet Doctor to do the work. I have, in the past bought every Beauty Book that Joan has written. I haven’t bought any, Brand New, recently, which I’m happy about because I don’t plan to ever give Joan another dime of my Money. I’ve been buying all of “My Books Used” lately from “THE Marketplace” OF “AMAZON”. I don’t believe that Joan would earn any money from her books that are sold that way. GOOD! That woman! I still like her. As an Actress she’s wonderful, but I can never respect her as any sort of Beauty Advisor or Expert. She’s can be quoted as claiming that she never sleep in make up. How did she manage to do that in all of these years that she’s been on this Earth?! She has revealed that she uses Wigs. And of course she has used her share of Make-Up. She has a Line Of Cosmetics and Wigs. I don’t think that I’ll be buying any of that either. She won’t suffer if I don’t buy any of her Wares. As far as I’m concerned I’ve become disenchanted with the “DYNASTY STAR”. I am no longer a “STAR STRUCK FAN”!
