Melissa’s birth name was Melissa Warburg Rosenberg.
She is a television host and producer. She and her mother, Joan, star in the reality show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?
Melissa married John Endicott, a horse trainer, in December 1998; they divorced in 2003. That marriage resulted in one son, Edgar Cooper Endicott.
Melissa took her mother’s stage surname in 1990. She interned for CBS News after graduating from college. She was a reporter for CBS This Morning and a contributor to Hangin’ with MTV.
Melissa also had roles in television shows that included Beverly Hills 90210, The Comeback, and Silk Stalkings. She has hosted various events on television.

Melissa admits that she has had plastic surgery; she states “I’ve had my breasts enlarged and my nose done as a teenager, which was botched and had to be re-fixed, and I do Botox too.”
Melissa has said before that she and her mother have both dealt with low self-esteem and terrible body-images issues.
She states that she has read things that have been written about her where people have called her “ugly” and “horseface.”
Melissa states that she has never denied having Botox and that she gets it once or twice a year. She also states “I am willing to talk about it. I think I’d be more upset if they were saying I was fat.”

Melissa discussed the fact that she uses Botox injections with People magazine.
In some celebrity plastic surgery before and after pictures, some would probably argue that she has taken away from her natural beauty; however the wrinkles are gone. 
Botox works by paralyzing the muscles temporarily in order to give the skin a smoother appearance.
Some comedians and other celebrities have made fun of celeb plastic surgery. One example of this is Claudia Jordan, Melissa’s “Celebrity Apprentice” teammate, who states “Melissa’s forehead does not move. I can’t tell if she is happy or sad.”
On The Wendy Williams Show, Williams asked Rivers if she had plastic surgery and she said:
“Show me someone in the cast of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ that has not seen the better end of the Botox needle.”
Melissa Rivers On Her Mother’s Plastic Surgery
Melissa has openly discussed the fact that she does not like Joan Rivers’ plastic surgery obsession.
Melissa’s mother, Joan has undergone facelifts, brow lifts, cheek lifts, Botox, breast augmentation, and several more.
Melissa says it bothers her that her mother continues getting more and more plastic surgery and “she needs to stop.”
Joan laughs off her daughter’s concern and says “there is no such thing as too much plastic surgery.”
