Pictures of Rihanna suggest that the star may have had plastic surgery in the form of a nose job and breast implants.

Rihanna, who was born was Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was born in Barbados on February 20, 1988.

The star moved to the United States at the age of 16 to begin her career as a singer. Rihanna has sold 20 million albums and 60 million singles. Her records continue to sell well throughout the globe.

Rihanna: The Case For Plastic Surgery

Rumors of cosmetic surgery have dogged her because of the photographic evidence. The singer shows a flatter nose in one picture and a wider nose in another.

Another set of pictures may show her to have a slightly larger cup size than she did in an earlier picture. The problem has always been that later photographic evidence will contradict earlier photographic evidence.

One blogger speculated that the star relied on effective use of makeup and perhaps a push up bra to achieve the effects that fans see in the different pictures.

There are no photos labelled as celebrity plastic surgery before and after because of the contradiction. It may be that Rihanna has not had plastic surgery. Her own words seem to supports this assertion.

The singer has admitted that going under the knife terrifies her. She says there are days when she wakes up and her chest is not big enough or if her nose is too wide she simply will choose to deal with it.

She does not want to deal with the possibility of plastic surgery gone bad. By choosing not to go under the knife, Rihanna does not have to worry about plastic surgery gone wrong.

Rihanna’s Cosmetic Surgery: Inconclusive

If we turn our attention back to before and after pictures of Rihanna, the results about whether or not she has had plastic surgery are inconclusive.

It seems that her own story is the best one to go on. There are certainly ways that a person can improve his or her looks that do not rely on dangerous procedures.

The singer probably has chosen cosmetic options that do not require permanent alterations. If so, she has chosen a wiser path than many of her peers.

As a singer, she does not rely on looks as much as actors do, but she still needs to maintain her youthful appearance. Female singers face a double standard that does not apply to their male counterparts.

A singer who does not maintain a youthful appearance may find that she does not get as many gigs as she did in the past. Of course, beauty is not the only factor that determines a musician’s career. Singers must remain relevant as well.
