Tara Reid’s Botched Plastic Surgery
Some celebrities, when they get celeb plastic surgery, have procedures done so skillfully and subtly that you’d never know they’d had surgery in the first place.
Other’s aren’t so fortunate. Tara Reid, who had her break out role with the wholesome, girl next door look in the film “American Pie” is one of the latter category.
Reid had, as many other women in Hollywood have had, breast enhancement surgery. However, though this is one of the most common cosmetic surgeries out there, Reid’s went very badly wrong.
“I originally did it because I had one breast bigger than the other,” Reid said to MSNBC. “But I also gained and lost weight so they were getting saggy and in Hollywood you have to look great.”
So Reid went to a plastic surgeon that she had been told was good. Her first mistake, one that lead to bad scarring and horrible embarrassment, was that she didn’t do the rest of the research.
To add on to the mistake though, Reid also got liposuction on her stomach from the same doctor, who was not as talented as she’d heard.
This left her with badly scarred breasts, irregular shaped areola and a bumpy stomach with high and low points. Reid was 28 years old when she had these procedures done.
Fortunately this story has a bit of a happy ending. Reid has overcome her loss of career and face in the public eye, and she’s gone under the knife again, this time with a board certified plastic surgeon, whose job it was to correct the mistakes left by the last surgeon.
Smoothed out and fixed up, Reid has returned to starlet status, and her looks are back in place in a way they weren’t in some time. Of course, the lesson is when it comes to plastic surgery, let the buyer beware.
